Effective messaging in paid advertising must be brief and compelling. You have seconds to capture someone’s attention. Banner ads must be briefer still and have a clear call to action. Click throughs help measure ROI. Based on keyword research, I wrote the text for a series of rotating ads to advertise online courses for Hartwick College. This online campaign ran for 3 months and produced 30% more out-of-state registrations than the prior year. The nursing ad was so successful, new sections had to be added to accommodate the demand.
